UNDERWATER

Your body feels so light.... Your mind is empty... You take a deep breath and open your eyes. You...took a deep breath?! How?!? Your body starts twiching in panic, but after a few moments you calm down again. You can breathe. You look up at the sparkling surface of the water. You wanna go but somthing inside is screaming at you:"Don't go up!" You decide to look around for a bit. [[ Stay in the shallows ]] [[ Go deeper ]]

You float around a beautiful coral reef. It's full of life and beauty. You have never seen so many fishes and other little creatures. You approach it to touch it but your hand stops mid-motion. What if you hurt it? What if you do something irreversible? You observe it's fragile beauty for a second before slowly turning away and continuing on your journey. [[ Go deeper ]] [[ Near the surface ]]

You go deeper.. It is still very lively here. You swim amongst the Manta Rays as your body gently shivvers with excitement. They look like they welcome you here. [[ Near the surface ]] [[ Stay at this level ]] [[ Even deeper ]]

These pillars look strange. Thy are radiating this energy... Is this what the Underwater is like? You feel like you are swimming away from something... important. Like you are missing something... You look up and see big waves plow the water surface. [[ Go deeper ]] [[ Swim up. Leave! ]]

You approach the surface. Determined. You have to get out. As your head emerges above the water you feel your heart sink, as if you were leaving a part of you behind. Whatever was waiting for you in these depths, it's gone now. Maybe it was just a dream. However, you know for sure the feeling of longing for that unknown fate will never stop haunting you.

You suddenly found yourself surrounded by a cloud of these glowing creatures. Your body tenses with fear but eventualy you realize they are not harming you. They do not want to harm you. It almost looks like they are protecting you, forming a bubble around you as you move your way down. Protecting you from who?...what?... You don't know. [[ Move on ]]

Sharks!!! They didn't see you yet but you should get out as soon as possible. [[ Near the surface ]] [[ Even deeper ]]

Into the darkness... You start feeling the pressure of the water being heavy on your body. [[ Go left ]] [[ Go right ]]

You turn left and swim on. There is something glowing in the distance. You want to go closer. It's the only light you have seen in a while. You are almost there, when you notice jaws full of sharp teeth emerging from the darkness. You stop in your tracks, full of terror. Your face is only about 30 cm from the creature's face, its lantern is spotlighting you. You notice its eyes staring straight into your soul. After what feels like eternity, the creature turns around and swims a few meters away, before fixating its eyes at you again. You know what it wants you to do. [[ Keep going down ]]

You turn right and swim on. There is something glowing in the distance. As you approach it you realise it's quite a big octopus. It's not harmful. You get closer to touch it. It gently squeezes your arm and lets you tickle it's belly. After about a minute it stops playing and nudges you to continue. [[ Keep going down ]]

You found the ocean floor... The deepest place on earth. For a moment you stop. This is absolutely crazy. You are so deep, you should be dead. What is happening? But these thoughts fly away as quickly as they came. Your inner voice is asking you to go further. [[ Go through the portal ]] [[ Near the surface ]]

As you leave the portal a beautiful world opens up in front of you, full of life and magic. You get overwhelmed by this unexplainable feeling. It feels like... home. There is a big temple in the distance. [[ Swim to the temple ]]

You find yourself in a beautiful hall full of lights, decorations, gold and warmth. In the middle there is a glass ball with mesmerising plasmatic light. I was almost hypnotic, but it didn't scare you at all. Suddenly you heard them. You heard the beautiful sirens singing, laughter and happy chatting. And you heard the deep warm rumbling voice saying: "Come home my child." You knew that you can join them if you take that glass ball. But you would have to leave everything you knew behind. [[ Take the ball ]] [[ Go home ]]

As you touch the ball it sends a wave of shivers down your whole body. Your feet start tingling, as well as your hands. As you look down, your feet start shifting and changing shape. You're growing fins! Swimming is suddenly so much easier and quicker. [[ You look around and leave the temple through the back door. ]]

[[ You just went home. ]]

The view that you get is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. A gigantic underwater city is bustling with life in front of you. So many people that are like you! So many lights, houses and other underwater animals. [[ Suddenly a big shadow looms over you and the entire city. ]]

"Welcome home child. This is where you belong. I will protect you untill the end of time."

Whatever was waiting for you in these depths, it's gone now. Maybe it was just a dream. However, you know for sure the feeling of longing for that unknown fate will never stop haunting you. As you left the temple behind, you also left a part of yourself in the ocean. You feel empty, unfulfilled. After that day you tried to find the entrance many times again, but the sea did not welcome you like it did that day. It didn't reveal it's heart to me ever again.
